Herb Kim

Herb is perhaps best known as Founder of the Thinking Digital Conference, one of the UK’s longest running technology thought leadership conferences. Amazingly, he also led the funding to create the original DIBI Conference back in 2010 so it's a full circle return to DIBI for him in 2025! 🙌

In addition to Thinking Digital, Herb is the Founder and Director of TEDxManchester, TEDxNewcastle & TEDxLiverpool. The videos from Herb’s conferences have now been viewed nearly 100 million times. 

Herb’s work on Thinking Digital and TEDx led him to be named as one of the top 100 Asians in UK Tech in 2019. In 2014, Buzzfeed included Herb on its list of ‘Geordie Heroes’. In 2011, Wired Magazine included him as one its Wired 100 top tech leaders of the year. In 2010, the Guardian included Herb in its list of top 100 media figures of the year.

Herb earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia and his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. While he was born in Brooklyn, NY, his spirit home is in the suburbs of northern New Jersey. He is a proud father to a young adult daughter.
